Ugh. I'm so emotional lately and I have no idea why. Maybe its just the school stress added on with other things that have been going through my head and life. Damn brain and living. What certainly didn't help my disposition was watching the movie Australia tonight while I should have been studying. I watched it after remembering that I hadn't seen Hugh Jackman with this shirt off lately. So I needed a good dose of that. But what I got was a dose of tears and warm fuzzy feelings, which I kind of wanted to avoid for a while since that has been happening *alot* lately. The tears that is, not the warm fuzzy feelings. Although those do come and go occasionally. But it just made me that much more ravenous for Romantic movies. Those happy and tragic ones which are so good at drawing out my inner sap. Anyways, I decided to keep a list on here of my favorite romantic movies of all time. I'll likely be updating it all the time, seeing as I've just got two more movies right beside me as I type this. Will I be doing my work tonight? Likely, not. So here goes:
- The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (so beautiful and tragic all at the same time)
- Australia (for Hugh Jackman, but also for the sad story about the lost generation)
- Definitely, Maybe (one of the best rom-coms I've ever seen)
- Love, Actually (still one of the funniest)
- La Vita e Bella (so sad!)
- A Touch of Pink (favourite movie of *all* time)
- Phantom of the Opera (why have I not bought this yet?!)
- P.S I love you (too many tears shed during this movie)
- A Walk to Remember
- Forrest Gump (its a classic ok?)
- The Brother's Bloom
- Memoirs of a Geisha
- Eurotrip (I don't care what you say, it's romantic that Scotty goes across Europe to find his pen pal!)
And the award for the worst must certainly go to any of the Twilight movies. Please don't lynch mob me Twi-hards!
